Have you ever seen a hot air balloon up close and in person?!? Well up until recently yours truly had only seen this amazing sight on television. Thanks to Saturday’s hot air balloon festival in Kansas, this can now be crossed off as done. Once we got up close and personal, it was then that we realized how truly gigantic these flying instruments really are. We got to see Nemo, Earth, and Mr. Potato head all inflate from start to finish and then drift away into the sky. Although they came in all shapes, colors and sizes, my personal favorite was still the traditional shape in multi-color, because it was the prettiest at night.
