Summer weather has been getting so hot lately that my number one priority in dressing has been to stay cool and comfortable. Don’t get me wrong, looking good is still a priority. So what’s a girl to do when it 90° F outside and she’s looking to upgrade her shorts & tank casual look? Enter the buttondown and crepe shorts.
The islet buttondown from Anthropologie is made from lightweight flowy material that lets air in so it keeps you cool in the hot summer days. While the pleated crepe shorts lets you show some skin and stay cool in a material thats dressier than the regular ol’ denim cutoffs.
Add some dressy sandals plus a super easy crown braid (video tutorial) and you are good to go!

I love how your answer to beating heat isn’t to wear less, it’s to wear lighter materials! Love that kind of thinking.
