I am not one of those people who are blessed with great skin, so the day I discovered make up was an amazing day indeed. You could say that I qualify as a beauty addict and make-up lover. Still, I gotta admit that my routine is fairly simple and usually takes less than 15-minutes to do. Today, I’m sharing a tutorial for the “fanciest” lip trick I have in my make-up repertoire. By fancy, I mean that it takes more than a swipe of one lip color. But really though, it’s super simple to do and takes no time at all.

To do the ombré lip, you’ll need two different lip color. It really doesn’t matter which one you use as long as they’re different enough visibly contrast against each other. One of the fun of doing ombré is experimenting with different colors to see how they pair up. You’ll want the base to be the lighter color, and the accent to be the darker color. The more different the colors are, the more striking the effect will be.
For this tutorial, I’m going for a subtler effect, so the color contrast is not too crazy. I went for Sephora Collection Rouge Cream lipstick in Ingenious 21 as the base and Giorgio Armani Rouge D’Armani in 404 as the accent color.
Easy enough!
You can control the ombré effect by how much of the accent color you put in. I starting from the middle inner part of your lip and working out.
Super easy, right? Who says make up tutorial has to be difficult and complicated.
