At times, the winter chill just makes me want to go all “honey badger mode” about my fashion choices. Honey badger don’t care what she’s wearing as long as it’s warm and comfortable. Well thank god that blanket scarves are in-trend this season. Not only is it look good, it ticks of the two most important thing in my winter wear checklist: warmth and comfort. I snagged this baby for a super sweet deal during black friday, which makes it even better!
There are so many different ways to wear the blanket scarf. For this post, I’m doing a “belted look”. It kind of looks like I’m wearing a wool wrap dress, doesn’t it? Scroll down and read on to see a step by step guide on how to get the look. It is soooooo easy, I promise!
Outfit Combo: multi jacquard scarf from Zara (find similar also here and here), dress from Topshop, tights from J.Crew, belt from BCBG Max Azria (find similar here), monogram neverfull bag from Louis Vuitton, toronto tall suede boots from Sorel.
How to wear a blanket scarf (the belted look edition):
STEP 1: Hold the scarf horizontally.
STEP 2: Make a little fold on the scarf at the top (this folded part will become the collar).
STEP 3: Wrap the scarf around your shoulder with the fold facing out.
STEP 4: Place one end of the scarf on top of the other. Get your belt ready (I find it easier to use a stretchy belt for this task).
STEP 5: Lock the belt in place and adjust the placement of the scarf as necessary.
That was super easy, right?
