Two Times

I wear a lot of the same stuff over and over for a few reasons: 1) I try to invest in nice pieces so need to get my cost per wear out of them and 2) I don’t have an endless supply of cash to shop till I drop (le sigh). Because of all that I decided to show how a few tweaks can change the same base of an outfit into two different looks. Alright, alright, I’m not doing anything AMAZING or NEW… I’m sure everyone does the same thing (and if you don’t, you should start).

Now to the food, because I love talking food. I’m switching it up a little bit today and talking home baked goods (see above, not made of money = can’t eat out errryday either). Gita recently went to an event where she picked up a cook book from Dominique Ansel aka the genius behind Cronuts(TM), if you don’t know you are missing out, BIG TIME. And while I have not worked up to the Cronut yet, I’m just a home baker, I have been baking Madeleines like a crazy person (see here). I hope to post a Cronut soon, but in the meantime I’m in Madeleine aka butter cookie heaven!

Outfit Combo: top: Theory cashmere sweater (similar style here and here), Zara blanket scarf (similar style here and here) and coat (similar here and here), and Goorin Bros Maise Lock fedora (more cuties here and here), bottom: distressed jeans, shoes: Modern Vintage over the knee boots, and sunnies: Ray-Ban aviators

Ah, absolutely gorgeous!! I go through phases of cooking – I’ll get really creative for a while then I’ll be totally boring and eat the same things over and over!

I absolutely adore that deep purple hat. I love that you paired it with a lighter look. it really makes the hat pop!

My daughter tried a blanket scarf. It just engulfed her! I bet they are warm, though!
