In an effort to shop less and save money, I’ve been trying to re-purpose and find new ways to wear clothes I already have. Take my über-versatile Marc Jacobs swimsuit cover up, for example. It can be worn as a cover up, a sun dress, or as a super high waisted skirt as I’ve done in today’s blog.
I actually found this combo by accident. I wanted to wear my Madewell denim vest as a buttoned up shirt (over the dress), which ended up covering up the graphic. The easy solution to this problem was of course to pull the dress down and turn it into a skirt. Best part about this outfit? I just love the sexy “peek” in the back of the dress that would’ve otherwise also been covered by the vest.

I also love repurposing, dresses into skirts better yet, long skirts into a short dress!
I love re-purposing my stuff, it just means that I get to discover some really great outfits! Loving that ‘skirt’!
