Parker + The Arrival

February 28, 2017

One of my favorite events of every New York Fashion Week is the ShopStyle Social House. It’s a fun event where I get to catch up with my blogger buddies, even the ones that don’t live in the same town as me. Tell me if this ever happened to you guys: you meet someone that you feel like you know, since you’ve been following and commenting on each other’s Instagram. A little creepy, but really cool at the same time. This tends to happen more during fashion week than any time of the year.

Another cool thing that happens during the Social House event, other than the hair and make up station, is that us bloggers get to raid the ShopStyle closet. This, of course, is a total kid in a candy store moment for me. I gravitated towards the coat because of the copper color and towards the dress because of the fun striped colors (um slimming effect, anyone). It’s totally by accident that when I put them together the two collided into a fabulously retro vibe. I’m not quite sure if it’s a mad men vibe, or more of a 70’s feel, but either way I’m feeling retrolicious (yup just made that up) and I’m lovin it.
