Professional Outfit for Under $100

February 28, 2012

For those who aren’t familiar, we are participating in our first petite fashion challenge originated by fellow petite blogger Extra Petite. This month’s challenge is hosted by Really Petite. The challenge is to put together a professional outfit for under $100 (bonus points for including accessories and shoes). I purchased entire outfit you see me wearing, including shoes and accessories, for a whopping total of $90.71 (including sales tax). In addition to getting a professional outfit for a ridiculously low price, I also got a bonus outfit out of it.

Want to know what that bonus outfit is and a price-point breakdown of the whole outfit, you say? Well, go on and read more to find out…

Outfit Price Breakdown (all items are purchased at Forever 21):

Now for the bonus outfit! The best thing about this dress is the mesh inset, which is totally hidden by the blazer for staying work appropriate during the day. But take off the blazer, put on a sassy red lipstick (maybe even switch accessories), and you are ready to hit up after work happy hour!

Special thanks to Zul Photography (a.k.a. my dad) for taking the photos ^_^

    thanks guys ^_^

@Jess – I opted for the neutral lips for daytime since I was worried that adding red lips would be too much. I always thought the mix of black and red lend itself to evening wear and I was trying to tone it down with the neutral lips. But on second thought I might probably wear red lips with it anyway hehe
