Fashion for a Cause

Everyone deserves quality healthcare and fashion and when these two causes are celebrated together, it brings so many great people together. This year, Truman Medical Center hosted their the Seventh Annual Fashion for a Cause at the newly built Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. As we walked across the red carpet, I was amazed by the turnout, the gorgeous models mingling with the donors, and the whisper of ‘Who are you wearing?’ echoing throughout the floor. Overall, it was one of the best fashion shows I’ve been to and a great way for us to get involved.

Before and after the show, Kim (kimberlyloc) and me were able to spend some time backstage and got a sneak peak of the upcoming collection. While backstage, we also wished the models, stylists, makeup artists and stage crew a successful show. As you can imagine, putting a fashion show together demands the most talented people, including Shelby from Shelby Herrick Salon, who willingly and without a hesitation volunteered his time and skills! P.S. and he is now my favorite new hair stylist. Between the fashion show, patron party, food, drinks and after party; all in all it ended up being a memorable night. I can’t wait until next year to do it all over again.
