I love blazers—it’s my favorite work “uniform”. If you’re going to guess what I’m wearing to work tomorrow, it’s a safe bet that a blazer will probably be part of the outfit. A few days ago, my co-workers asked me for a recommendation on a place to buy blazers. I checked my closet and realized that almost all my blazers are from Zara! They have tons of style at very reasonable prices.
Outfit Combo: necklace: Kenneth Cole, shirt: Banana Republic, skirt: Marc Jacobs, blazer: Zara and booties: BCBG
Admittedly, I have not always been a fan of blazers. I blame my blazer-phobia on the unfortunate trend of the power-suit, popular in the late 80s and early 90s, which makes me think that blazers has to be stuffy and formal. But thankfully I overcame my fear and learned that this is not so.
It is true blazers is typically more on the dress-up category of clothing. But I learned that this is precisely what makes it so great. Blazer is my best friend on days where I’m in a hurry or too lazy to think of an outfit, but still want a put-together look. On days like these I usually go pair skinny jeans, tank top, flats, and blazer.
Here are some of my favorite blazers from Zara:
Blazer with Wide Lapels – $129
Blazer with Shiny Lapel – $89.90
Wing-Collared Blazer – $99.90
Knit Blazer – $99.90
Happy blazering! :o)
Zara is a great place to shop… I did that in Mannheim when we lived there and send things to Nicole. Also H&M has reasonable fashion at least thats how it was back in Germany. Here I think they are lacking in clothing, but then I am parshel to Europoean clothing :-)
The good news is Zara lets you shop online now!
Very nice jacket. But skirt is most short.
Hi, this is a great post! Thanks..
