¡Saludos de San Juan! It’s my last day here in Puerto Rico’s capital city and I’m feeling a bit sad about it. I knew the trip was going to be short (my hubby could only take Friday and Monday off), so I’ve been mentally preparing myself for it. But I guess it doesn’t really matter how long your vacation is, the last day is always bittersweet. In the four days that we’re here, we’re able to relax in the beach of Isla Verde and explored Old San Juan quite a bit. I’m really in love with the colorful architecture of Old San Juan, so much so it got me day dreaming which houses I would like to live in. This red painted house is definitely a contender. Awkwardly enough, the owner came home right as I was daydreaming/taking blog photos. BUSTED LOL! Thankfully, they we’re super nice and let me finish taking my photos.
On a semi-related side note, I heard that there are no property taxes in Puerto Rico. So basically once you pay off the house, there’s really no more payments to be made. What the whaaaaat?!? Oh yeah all sorts of retirement planning and property owning schemes entered my head as soon as I heard that.
Outfit Combo: cami dress from Lanston, headband from American Apparel, mccaren tote from Madewell, marble triangle necklace from Slate (via Rockbox), gabino espadrille flat from Easy Spirit.
So funny that the homeowner came out while you were snapping these photos but we love this wall too, so we’d totally do the same thing :) And we can’t believe property tax isn’t a thing there. We want to move too! haha. Adoring your dress and sneakers by the way!

LOL on getting busted! Yeah, it’s true on the taxes. We own a home in Guaynabo and it feels so good to know it’s all ours. Hopefully that doesn’t ever change. Glad you got to enjoy the island. It would have been cool to meet up while we were there! Maybe next time. Hugs!
