Textures

December 22, 2014

I feel like the fun thing about winter is mixing all the different textures together! Flannel, faux-fur, leather, wool, cashmere, (you get it) the more layers, the BETTER and warmer! At least it is if you live in the frozen tundra that is Minneapolis.

My latest food find in my quest to be food happy in Minnie is, The Bachelor Farmer. The restaurant is in a cute area downtown next to a clothing boutique, Askov Finlayson, that had some great Men’s clothing! Back to the food. Since it was our first time eating at this place we decided to eat at the Bar. It was actually a good thing that we did because this place was POPPIN’, better to make reservations for dinner. Plus, the bartenders were really great. They asked what types of drinks you prefer and make something based on your personal taste, HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?!? Oh yea and the food was REALLY yummy too! I was told the food style the place is known for is American/Nordic, made with fresh local ingredients which is why the menu changes daily. All that plus the drinks makes me want to go back again for dinner AND possibly brunch!

Outfit Combo: top: J.Crew plaid shirt (old, similar style), Weatherproof reversible vest (similar here) and AllSaits belt, bottom: ASTR leather A-line skirt (similar here and here), and shoes: Circus by Sam Edelman Reese booties
