The ‘Pies and Thighs’ Saturday

Ever since I moved to New York City, everyone has been telling me about this fried chicken joint in Williamsburg called Pies and Thighs. Some people have described it to me as the “best fried chicken” they’ve ever had. After living in the Big Apple for over a year-and-half, I finally got my butt over on the L train to try this place out. Actually, the L train was closed for maintenance that day, so we had to take a bit of a detour. On top of that debacle, we had quite a bit of wait when we got to the restaurant since it’s pretty popular.

But the food turned out to be well worth the detour and 45-minute wait. It was soooooooo good! Definitely contender for one of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The wait was not that bad, considering there was other restaurants nearby where we can get drinks there while we wait. Plus it gave me a chance to strike a pose and take some blog pictures.

Chicken and fashion, all in one day? Sounds like a win to me.
