As you can tell from my previous turban and sock bun tutorials, I’m a big fan of hairstyles that can extend you wash cycles. True story: over washing your hair is no bueno, and can lead to dry frizzed hair and split-ends. Ain’t nobody got time for that! Which is why I’m totally crazy for braided hairstyles, especially braided up-do’s.
The problem is, most braided hairstyle requires one to know how to french-braid, a skill I’ve only mastered as recently as last year. So I thought, there must be a way a girl can do a fancy braided do’ with no french-braiding required.
Thought of one I did, and I even got a video tutorial to share with you!
What did you think? Did you try it out? Let me know — I’d love to see any photos or videos.
Gita this looks amazing and as promised it’s really easy. Even for someone like me (without any hairdo skills). I would love to try it but my hair is too short. Omg yours looks so beautiful :D. My like on youtube <3
GREAT tutorial! If I could braid my hair myself I would totally do this!

I wear my dirty hair like this, all. the. time. It is such an easy solution – and I get so many compliments. I never tell them it’s been 6 days since shampoo saw my head. Great tutorial, Gita!
Well I never bought anything at Forever 21. So I can’t say anything about that :D. I got a jacket from Sheinside it was $30 and it’s really good (haven’t washed it yet). Guess it depends on what you buy. My sister bought a Zara scarf washed it and now it’s only 1/4 of the size it used to be.
