This past Saturday I had such a blast at San Antonio’s first ever Blogging The Runway event. The show, organized by San Antonio Fashion and Beauty Bloggers (SAFABB) and San Antonio Fashion Industry Alliance, featured outfits from local boutiques Langford Market and Carol Reyes, as well as one of a kind designs from San Antonio’s own Laura Varella.
The event is not the stereotypical fashion show. Each boutiques styled six looks that they feel best represents this summer’s trends and then presented them on the “runway”. Afterwards, the bloggers was given an opportunity to get up close to take pictures and ask questions. So yours truly wasn’t just in the front row, I was able to get up close and all up on the model’s business. Just like P’triqe said: “if you’re not in the first two rows, you dont matter” HA!

My most favorite outfit of the show was from Langford Market.
At first glance, you may think this outfit consist of pants and blouse. It is actually a jumper paired with a black semi-sheer blouse. I love this outfit because it’s edgy, yet still conservative enough to wear to work. All you have to do to get ready for happy hour is to take off the blouse!
Better yet, I later found out that this jumper cost a whopping $49! You better believe I’m buying the entire outfit.
My second favorite outfit is from Carol Reyes’s boutique, coincidentally also modeled by the same girl. I love the lightness of the cream-colored crochet dress, paired with the pop of the turquoise purse.
Last but not least in my favorite list is the printed dress by Laura Varela. The foil flower applique on this dress is just darling. You can never say San Antonio designers are scared of prints or colors!
And of course, I have to give a shout-out to the lovely fashionable ladies of SAFABB.
